Disclaimer
Íæż½ã½ãreviews clinical guidelines, statements, and patient information pamphlets on a five-year rotation, notwithstanding special circumstances. The number of documents that require review in any given year is large and on occasion we are unable to complete all of them within the designated time frame. Some of these documents will not require updating at the time they are reviewed. In these cases, the version date and year for next review will be updated, but the content remains unchanged.
The ‘due for review date’ on a document is an administrative tool that helps us to keep track of our information resources. It does not mean that the information is no longer relevant once the review date has passed. The information within these documents does not expire, but changes to treatments, practices and advice can change over time, which is why Íæż½ã½ãregularly reviews and updates them (if necessary). The information provided in these documents is of a general nature and should not be seen as a substitute for medical advice or assessment by a doctor. An individual’s specific circumstances should always be considered when medical decisions are made.
Íæż½ã½ãwill prioritise information for review if the circumstances warrant it.
